The Guest article below was submitted in response to the nomination of Mikey Weinstein for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010 for his work at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.

Yes, you read that correctly. But please keep reading. I think you will agree.
The 2008 Presidential campaign introduced America to Sarah Palin, and America hasn’t been the same since. She is a polarizing figure. You either love her or hate her, but indifference is not an option.
In the course of my research to learn more about her, I discovered the YouTube video of Sarah being blessed by Bishop Muthee. What on earth ….? I was about to begin the education of a lifetime. More discoveries…Talk2Action, Immoral Minority, Palin’s Deceptions, the amusing Bree Palin, and then - TheoPalinism, the site that was going to pull it all together and teach me about dominionism.
It took about a year to get a good handle on the subject and realize just how big a movement it was and how dangerous. I don’t think it can ever be overstated how dangerous. I read the entire TheoPalinism site and a lot of really great books that Leah recommended. Then I found even more that I was able to recommend to her.
Now I turn to God's Own Party? as not only a reader but a member of the community Leah is creating to spread the crucial information about just what Political Dominionism is and why we all need to pay attention to this.
What I learned was truly alarming. The dominionist tent is much larger than I had anticipated, and more powerful than any religious group should be. It has invaded and infested the Republican Party, entire denominations of churches, and a good portion of the news media. But the scariest of all is the inroads it has made into our US Military.
Enter Mikey Weinstein and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.
I was no stranger to Mikey. I had seen his website several times and thought he was doing a great job. I had three brothers who had served in the military and one of them had made a career of the Air Force, so I had a reason to be interested. But I didn’t follow the site on a regular basis and I didn’t contribute to the foundation. I made the awful mistake of thinking Mikey was just standing up to a few overzealous drill sergeants and chaplains. I didn’t pay close enough attention and didn’t know just how bad the fight was getting.
Now I know. Now I understand that Mikey is fighting a battle here at home that is every bit as formidable as our soldiers overseas. He is fighting, not just for the religious freedom of military personnel, but for the rights of each and every one of us. He is fighting against some very powerful and dangerous adversaries, and he has paid a very high personal price for it.
I’m Issuing a Challenge
On 23 Sep 2009, Mikey and his wife, Bonnie, filed a lawsuit against Jim Ammerman and Gordon Klingenschmitt. If you haven’t seen the story yet, you can read it here from the Dallas News.
Mikey has also issued a press release with some surprising and fabulous news.
On the front page of MRFF’s website is a fundraising effort called the Constitution Society. It has a graphic that looks like a thermometer. That graphic has been stuck on the 60 range for a while now.
So here’s my challenge.
The big fight is just beginning. MRFF is now representing over 15,000 service members. We are at a defining moment. I’m asking all of you to visit http://www.militaryreligiousfreedom.org/ and join the Constitution Society. Join with Mikey and send that thermometer to the top. Think about our young men and women in the military.
Think about your own children and grandchildren joining the military and how bad things could be for them if the dominionists win. We can celebrate MRFF’s nomination and support the foundation’s mission by joining together, hand in hand, and telling the world we stand by this great American Hero, Mikey Weinstein.
And while you’re at it, could you send Leah a few bucks? In addition to the tiring work she is doing on Political Dominionism, she answers the call herself by volunteering her time to help Mikey Weinstein when necessary and without question, and lately that has been considerable.
The work she is doing is more than full time and we all need to support her work so that she can support herself through this project, and so that she and Alex can get their book, "God's Own Party?" completed and out to the publisher well ahead of the 2010 elections.
Even $5, $10, and $20 donations will mean that you are actively a part of this important work. Make it a monthly donation if you can, that is what we have done. It is like passing our own collection plate to support what we believe in...because we have all seen what a dollar here or there can do in the congregational collection plates. They started a Movement!
So, do you agree?
All this education and camaraderie - thanks to Sarah whose extreme religious and political beliefs opened our eyes.
Her presence in the mainstream media has helped to bring dominionism out into the open. More bloggers, researchers, and journalists are getting the information out and documented. We will all be wiser and safer for their commitment to the truth and unrelenting efforts to the cause.
Thank you GenieO! This was sent to me last night and what a wonderful endorsement and call to action! My heart filled thanks, sincerely.
This has indeed turned into a 24/7 mission and leaves no time for other endeavors. In fact, I feel a sense of constant pressure because the deeper the research goes the more urgent our work becomes and I have no time for anything else at this point.
So GenieO's plea for support and donations is crucial to allowing me to continue. I know too much to stop, there is no turning back, but I don't want to lose everything I have worked so hard for in the process. I humbly thank those of you who have begun setting up recurring monthly stipends, it keeps the lights on!
