As someone with a PACER account, I’m able to find and search the dockets of any Federal court case.
As noted on Friday, the Sanders campaign filed BERNIE 2016, INC. v. DNC SERVICES CORPORATION.
The word on Saturday was that the dispute was settled.
However, the court docket doesn’t show a dismissal. Instead, the docket entry for today is a summons being issued (at the request of Sanders’s attorney) to the DNC. If the case were being dismissed, there’d be no reason for Sanders to ask the court to issue a summons.
Okay, let the discovery begin. Sanders will try to score points on whether the DNC personnel don’t want him to be president, like most democrats,
The DNC will try to score points on how the Sanders campaign admittedly stole information, when Sanders himself was informed (according to Wasserman Schultz, by her a day after the fact), what he was told, and why the public was initially told it was inadvertent.
Makes zero sense as a political or legal matter, but Sanders has paid his filing fee. Have at it.
