We've been waiting for some time for the one thing that could finally tank Orly Taitz. Well, folks, it may have arrived.
As Tomtech mentioned yesterday, the birth certificate she included as part of her latest legal filing was apparently obtained by a guy named Lucas Smith. Problem is that the birth certificate was exposed last week as a forgery.
Does the phrase "fraud upon the court" mean anything to you? It should. Given that both Salon and WorldNutDaily have already called this fake, it's hard not to imagine a judge making the same finding. One could have reasonably argued that Orly had been duped when she introduced a fake birth certificate into evidence. But twice? One can only reasonably conclude that Orly did this knowing full well it was fake.
The fact that Orly was consorting with a proven forger is potentially a damaging blow by itself. But as I mentioned last week, Smith has serious credibility issues even without the birth certificate being proven to be fraudulent. Smith has a lengthy rap sheet, is suspected of phishing for eBay members' information, and abruptly broke off contact with a team WND sent out to help verify the document.
I haven't been able to find out anything on how the current drive to have Orly disbarred is going. But if she's somehow sanctioned for pushing this forgery on the court, it should get legs very quickly.
